FTM here.. I am so surprised by how confused my body is making me! I feel super connected to my baby but am constantly looking at photos of other peoples bumps, comparing myself to pregnant friends and just trying to find a comparison to what I look like and I can’t!! I’m constantly asking my husband, am I bigger/smaller than other pregnant people we see, just looking for some perspective I guess?? I’ve never not known what I look like and right now I have NO idea. You could show me lineup of bumps and I could NOT tell you which most resembles mine. Anybody else???

Well, I take the 25-35lb recommended weight gain and throw that right out the window. When there are posts in here saying people have only gained like 10lbs, I don’t even read them. I gained 50lbs my first pregnancy and am already at 34lbs at 28 weeks. Being pregnant is super hard and I feel like I can’t control my cravings, sometimes desserts are all that makes me happy. I’m bigger than I was with my first but all bumps are different :) and I lost 40lbs within a few weeks of having my first. This is the only bump pic I’ve taken with this pregnancy and it was today!

I feel this way too! Sometimes when my fiancé says I look so pregnant I have a hard time believing him. I can’t tell if I look extremely bloated or if everyone can tell I’m pregnant. I think about it so much!

Just here to let you know that you are not alone! I am a FTM with severe body dysmorphia as well. I am short and have always struggled with my weight and body image and now being pregnant adds yet another layer. Sometimes I feel like wow people realize I’m pregnant? And other days I feel like wow I’m bloated and don’t feel much different.
