Okay, so when I saw this ON3 CB from Justin Hopkins, I asked myself who the f*** if Justin Hopkins and why should I care what he predicts.
Well, I did a little googling around and it appears that he is an Oregon insider at ON3. Oregon is one of OSU's main competitors for Hill's commitment. He also claims to have an 87% success rate on his CB picks.
Okay, now he has my attention.
Not a guarantee, but it sounds meaningful to me.
Go Bucks!

If the Buckeyes landed Hill, Pettijohn, and Sanders over the next month that would put us almost out of reach for the recruiting crown. I know it’s not that important but we’ve been number two to SEC teams so many times it would be exciting to finally finish on top. Gotta hold onto the guys we have -@ready, obvioisly.
There’s also some other elite dudes we are in the hunt for, though.

I remember Urban having some awesome runs with recruits committing daily, but Ryan Day seems to be surpassing that...

I’ve only question d his ability to still develop it’s obvious that he is a very likable guy. But his players have seemed to be underperforming here the last half decade or so.

It’s also gets easy for LJ when we have a huge gap in classes. He tends to do this every 3-4 years. If he would stack these classes we would get better production just having the competition in the room. NIL is also helping here as well
So yeah, I’m still on the OL/DL coaching and recruiting are the weakest links at tOSU. Line play wins Natties…..Posted on Jul 2nd, 7:23 AM, , User Since 161 months ago, User Post Count: 20203

I agree, but I would note that "weakest" doesn't equate to "poor". (Although, some could reasonably argue that LBs are in the first conversation.)

We already have two top 10 edge rushers in this class. I'll take a third. Can you imagine if we start to stack OL and DL like we do WRs? Good lord.

The lbs went from best unit 2 years ago to worst on defense. Which is why I have concerns of jl as coach. I mean like you said worst unit doesn’t always mean bad. But it seemed like player regressed last year

It is difficult to evaluate a unit individually without looking at the scheme. Knowles plays basically 2 linebackers and 5 defensive backs. It is called a safety driven defense, so safeties are going to make a lot of tackles. So, I do not know how to tell whether the linebacking unit has become worse or better. It is a similar deal with the defensive line. If the defensive line is asked to contain and set the edge, they will produce fewer sacks. Everything works together, for the benefit of the team.

Mark Porter on the BM5 kept referring to Justin Hill as 6’5, 230 for some reason

I’d love to see a rotation of DL going forward…we recruit studs, get them on the field, hungry and fresh…
