I debated whether it was even worth writing a review for the sham that is Yakuneba season 2 for about an hour or so before deciding that after all the time, energy and think pieces I’ve given this series, I should write one.

Hear me out❤️,I don't care what anyone thinks about this season but I enjoyed it and in fact I thought it was amazing, most people who were mad are the ones who read the manga, as a person who didn't, I can say that I absolutely enjoyed every episode of this season.

Amazing, this season is very promising, people are hating on it for being different than the manga, you won't be able to spoil it now, hahahaha, that's not an excuse to give it a low score, everything in this season is perfect so far.

Story (10/10) - The story is following right after where season 1 ended, the story is being changed and that's probably for the best.

Art (9/10) - The same style was kept, with beautiful detailed scenarios and disturbing monsters, it has some use of CGI which is also looking pretty good.

The writing choices made in this season defy my understanding at every turn.
I'd be less upset about them completely skipping an entire manga arc if they had a plan to replace it with something else, but so far we're halfway through season 2 and a main conflict hasn't even been established yet.

The episodes since we diverted from the original story have been overwhelmingly spent on mundane stuff that does nothing to further the plot and little to develop the characters. We get overlong montages of riveting activities such as farming...cooking...sleeping...etc, a whole 5 minute sequence dedicated to catching and eating fish that goes nowhere, and ...

The Promised Neverland was one of the best anime of 2019. In 2021 the highly anticipated second season was finally released, but it was a big disappointment for me.

Neverland returns with it's second season, and how does it compare to the first? Let me tell you. Before I do however, just would like to state this is an anime only review, not the manga, as this mainly focuses on the anime only.

Neverland always feels tense, always feels like everyone is under pressure, as if it is one of those cases where you can't really be too trusting. In all honesty, I can not understand why people will hurt such a great anime on purpose.

I think that some things could have been better, but it doesn't mean it deserved at 5 mark. Please guys, minimum a seven.

Art and sound are good. Animation also on point.

The new characters add depth to the story. I believe that we two or 3 more episodes the story could have been showed better.

Before I start this review of TPNL the anime, I just wanna say the manga nosedived beyond belief after the first arc, “Escape from Grace Field”. Imagine this, you decided to watch the first season and immediately fell in love with it. You binge-watch it twice in the same day, once in the sub and once in the dub, because it's genuinely super good. After that, you binge-read the entire manga. The Promised Neverland 2nd Season is a brilliant achievement of Japanese Television. It is a series that has no reason to exist other than to profit off of unsuspecting fans of the first season. This is the spiritual successor to Tokyo Ghoul: Root A—another anime original sequel that attempted to inflict as much severe pain and suffering on the manga fans as possible.
